| *Although it doesn’t sound as appetizing, chicken meal is a higher concentrated protein source than raw chicken. Chicken meal is the meat with the fat and moisture already removed. Since raw chicken can be 75-80% water, once the food is produced into a dry kibble, chicken, which may be listed 1st by weight only, is no longer truly the first ingredient. |
